NEW SINCERITY

The three-day exposition in Lahouti Thatre, Dushanbe, brought a new perspective on what contemporary art can become tomorrow as an open field for interaction.

The name of the exhibition refers to one of the main cultural trends of the XXI century. To the concept of human self-actualization in the community. From the experience of the 20th century we know how fragile our world is, how impermanent the truth is. After years of wandering, people finally get a chance to get out of the vicious circle of doubts, denials and eternal uncertainty. The basis of the new sincerity is that the individual can openly be themselves without jeopardizing the freedom of the others.

This new paradigm of thought, aesthetics, and social interaction was born at the end of the last century. Unfortunately new sincerity has yet to be properly recognized and remains on the cultural horizon as an expectation. As a promise that one day the longed-for agreement between people will come.

It is time to establish a new cultural trend based on open dialogue and interaction. Contemporary aesthetics is already ready for this transformation. We believe that contemporary art is becoming the flagship of new sincerity. With new sincerity, contemporary art forms an open field that can withstand the harshest criticism from the outside. New sincerity creates grounds for dialogue between the artist and the viewer and for interaction between the viewer and art.

We invited artists to work not only with the art manager of the exhibition, but also with a theoretician of contemporary art. In July we held a special course of lectures, where the artists studied how to work with the most relevant forms of art and mastered the concept of new sincerity so they could build a theoretical foundation for their artworks.
