7. action plan
  • Everything you discuss during the calls can be revisited, clarified, and explored further in correspondence with Catherine, which remains open throughout the entire intensive.
Throughout the correspondence, you will receive reading recommendations for independent study, or concise summaries of everything you need to know in written form — depending on how much time you have available.
At the end of the intensive, we will also send you a reading list for future reference.
During the calls and through correspondence, we will discuss your work in detail — identifying its strengths and weaknesses and, where relevant, bringing the distinctive features of your artistic language into focus.
Together, through our correspondence, we will prepare your Artist Statement and any necessary curatorial texts, and build or revise your portfolio, bio, and CV.
The most important component of the intensive — and the most long-lasting and useful outcome.
A strategy is not a plan. It is closer to a set of principles that will help you navigate changing circumstances while staying on course.
Here we develop a short-term action plan and help you get started. We will be there to support you at the very beginning of this process.
1. calls with Karolina
2. goal-setting
A key stage of the process, which most often happens during the calls: together, we assess your current situation, clarify your expectations, and formulate realistic goals.

  • Getting to know Karolina is literally the first thing that happens, even before the program begins. This introductory call is a chance to see whether we are a good fit to work together — and to help you make a more informed decision about joining the program.

  • Then, during the intensive, you will have two in-depth sessions with Karolina where you can bring up and unpack all the most pressing questions about your practice.
